Technical Support
Most Federation members regularly use this service. The Federation employs a registered civil engineer, Malcolm Abernethy, who is on hand to assist with technical advice for all members including advice on engineering problems you may be facing.
If you have any questions or issues you would like to discuss with Malcolm, just send your questions and Malcolm will get back to you as soon as possible. Include your telephone number if you would like him to give you a call.
Malcolm also runs regular seminars around New Zealand on issues such as the Construction Contracts Act and the NZ3910 contracts. The areas he covers include:

Malcolm provides initial services to members of the Federation free. This means that up to six calls a year can be made at no charge. Also the first half hour of his time is free. After that, modest charges will be invoiced.
For members Malcolm will be charged out at $75 per hour.
If any extra travel, accommodation or other expenses are specific for a particular job, those charges will also be invoiced to the client.
