InfraTrain New Zealand Limited

InfraTrain New Zealand is the industry training organisation (ITO) for the infrastructure industries.

InfraTrain develops, facilitates and manages unit standards and national qualifications designed to meet specific industry needs, from introductory through to advanced supervisors, forepersons and civil engineering levels.

Industry qualifications are available in the following sectors; Civil Construction, Pavement Surfacing, Roadmarking, Rural Contracting, Agrichemical Application, Demolition, Utilities, Bulk Earthmoving, Horizontal Directional Drilling, Civil Engineering, Asset Management, Adult Education and Training, Property Management, Surveying, Design, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Health Safety and Environment and Business Administration.

InfraTrain works with key industry experts to design unit standards and qualifications, which are linked to the National Qualifications Framework. Training consists of on-job elements supplemented with off-job courses, to provide a balanced flexible approach to training that encourages the practical development of skills, knowledge and safety.

For trainees aged between 16 and 21 years a range of Modern Apprenticeships (MA) are available. The MA scheme is a work-based programme for young people that gives them a qualification for life.

InfraTrain's extensive network of regional staff assist trainees and employers throughout the entire training process, by providing ongoing support and guidance.
